about ed Ed’s resume and artist statement is on the following page for those of you wishing formal information.

Ed lives in the Jemez Mountains of New Mexico, it is there that he coined his phrase about his life “In this valley of thousands of years of culture, I have been captured; and I find myself the happiest of prisoners.”
The house and studio have been built by Ed, friends and family over the years. Just like his art, his home is always evolving. His family is nearby, and his two granddaughters are frequent visitors. They frequently paint with oils right alongside their grandfather.
Ed has enjoyed the study of Native Americans and their art throughout his lifetime. Beadwork of all tribes intrigues him and he has a vast collection of artifacts.
It has been rewarding living close to the Jemez Pueblo and having friendships among the artists that live there.
“Of late a strange but wonderful insight has been gifted to me. One of my friends in the Jemez Pueblo has seen in my images the symbols of his culture...”The whirlwinds in the sky, the dancers in the trees all had connections to their own images I was flattered and pleased to have discovered my links to the sky and earth were in tune with those that were here endless years before myself. My friend made a pot for me not long after with endless whirlwinds on it as a gift of celebration of our common vision. But that was not the Towa name I received later. That was Loga Fala, The Happy One. That is the true gift of my work, the joy of seeing these things in life and beauty, and the gift to share them in my work.”
